Visit From Hope Zoo

The Emperor Valley Zoo was pleased to host a visiting delegation from the Hope Zoo in Jamaica on Thursday March 01, 2012. Hope Zoo’s Curator, Mr. Orlando Robinson accompanied by two state Veterinarians, Drs. Gavin Bellamy and Stacey-Ann Jackson met with our own Curator, Mr. Nirmal Biptah and Zoo Veterinarian Dr. Mosi Pottinger.

Zoo and Manatee Conservation Trust Celebrate World Wetlands Day!

The Zoological Society of Trinidad and Tobago Inc. together with The Manatee Conservation Trust celebrated World Wetlands Day at the Emperor Valley Zoo.

World Wetlands Day is recognized on February 2 each year. This day marks the date of adoption of the Convention of Wetlands on February 2 1971, in the Iranian city of Ramsar.
